The Postern Gap ( English for stealth breach ) is a pass east of Mount Tholus in the central mountain range of the Antarctic Joinville Island .
The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey mapped it in 1954. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it so in 1957 because this pass is the only access across the mountain range to the south coast of Joinville Island.
