The Potrzebowski Peak ( Polish: Szczyt Potrzebowskiego ) is an approximately 300 m high and isolated mountain in the southwest of King George Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It rises east of Buddington Peak between the Moczydłowski Glacier and the Polar Friendship Glacier on the north shore of the Marian Cove .
Polish scientists named him in 1984 after Kazimierz Potrzebowski, the deputy head of the Polish Antarctic expedition, which ran from 1979 to 1980, and who participated in several other Polish Antarctic expeditions.
