Povilas Malakauskas

Povilas Malakauskas (born October 27, 1955 ) is a Lithuanian politician .

Life

After graduating from the 34th Vilnius Middle School in 1973 , he graduated from the Vilniaus universitetas with a diploma in physics and then received his doctorate . From 1978 to 1992 he worked as a research assistant and group leader at the Institute for Semiconductor Physics in Lithuania. From 1992 he worked in the Ministry of Defense of Lithuania . In 1996 he became Vice Minister. From 2004 to 2007 he was director of Specialiųjų tyrimų tarnyba and from 2007 to 2009 of Valstybės saugumo departamentas . Since 2010 he has been an advisor in the Police Department at the Ministry of Interior of Lithuania .

Povilas Malakauskas is married and has three children.

He is a member of the Tėvynės sąjunga - Lietuvos krikščionys demokratai .
