Povlja in the evening sun

Povlja is a fishing and farming village with 400 inhabitants in the northeast of the island of Brač in Croatia . The place is surrounded by many bays such as Travna, Smokvica, Ticja luka, Tatinja. Povlja is about 5 km north of the Sumartin ferry port, which connects Brač with Makarska on the mainland.

Attractions

In the village there is an early Christian basilica from the 5th – 6th centuries. Century, next to it a fort that has been rebuilt several times.
