Paolo Vallesi
Paolo Vallesi (born May 18, 1964 in Florence ) is an Italian cantautore .
Career
Paolo Vallesi learned the piano at a young age and performed in bars in his hometown as a teenager. As a musician and arranger, he continued his career and wrote his first songs. With Ritornare a vivere , he took part in the 1990 music festival of Saint-Vincent ( Un disco per l'estate ), where he was discovered by the producer Dado Parisini. Vallesi made his breakthrough a year later at the Sanremo Festival in 1991 , where he took first place in the newcomer category with Le persone inutili . Then his first self-titled album was released.
The following year he again took part in the Sanremo Festival, this time in the main category, where he not only achieved third place with La forza della vita , but also his biggest hit. The second album, which was released afterwards, also had the same title and only contained songs from Vallesi's pen, including the radio hit Semper . For the Spanish-speaking area he also recorded a Spanish version of the album. The third album Non mi tradire was released in 1994 and contained guest contributions by his music colleagues Biagio Antonacci and Eros Ramazzotti , both of whom he knew as teammates in the Nazionale Cantanti , in which he played since 1993. Together with Irene Grandi , he then went on an extensive tour.
In 1996 Vallesi returned to the Sanremo Festival, but achieved only 18th place with Non andare via . This was followed by the album Non essere mai grande , the Spanish version of which also contained a successful duet with Alejandro Sanz . After that, the musician withdrew from the public for a while, during which he became father of a son and gathered a new production team around him. In 1999 the fifth album Sabato 17:45 was released , while Marco Borsato's Dutch version of Vallesis Semper ( Vrij zijn ) became a hit in the Netherlands.
The musician returned in 2003 with a best-of album, and in 2005 he took part in the reality show La talpa (Italian version of The Mole ). The single La fionda was released in 2006 , followed in 2008 and (in a new version) in 2012 by È bastato un momento . After producing the first album of the Nazionale Cantanti in 2009, he published the live album I Live You in 2009 and the studio album Episodio 1 in 2015 … In questo mondo . After a guest appearance during the Sanremo Festival 2017 , the seventh studio album Un filo senza fine was finally released .
