Power Rangers: Legacy Wars

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Power Rangers: Legacy Wars is a fighting game based on the movie Power Rangers that was developed by San Francisco-based game developer nWay using characters from the movie and the TV show. The game was published on Amazon , Apple's AppStore and the Google Play Store . The game has been downloaded more than 50 million times.

Gameplay

Power Rangers Legacy Wars is a team-based online fighting game. The players choose a primary character (leader) and two secondary characters (assistants) who can be used in combat. Players can also challenge computer gamers in training mode. The characters' movement sets are based on color-coded "cards". Each card has a different type of attack: hit, defense, breaker. They work on the principle of scissors, stone, paper . The blow hits the breaker, the breaker hits the defense, and the defense hits the blow. When building a team, players need to keep their team in mind, as an imbalance in cards makes one vulnerable to counterattack (too many "strike" cards make one vulnerable to "defense" and so on). Players can complete challenges to win morph boxes and use the items earned to improve their leaders and assistants. Corruption boxes can be unlocked via points earned in PvP battles.

Background story

Rita Repulsa, who plays in the universe of the Power Rangers film 2017, infects the morphine grid with a virus that brings together and damages all known generations of Ranger. Zordon and Alpha 5 send Jason to clean the morphine grid. Jason rescues various Rangers and together with them he continues to rescue more and destroy Rita, encountering various threats along the way. Eventually, the rangers find a couple of Megazorde that they use to challenge Mega Goldar and the Black Dragon Megazord. However, Rita's power grows and she is now able to pull fighters from other dimensions into the grid. She finds the remains of M. Bison and reanimates him. In return he gives Rita his dimension in order to conquer. Ryu senses this, but it is too late and he, his friends and enemies are being dragged into the morphine grid.
