Prémio José Saramago
The Prémio José Saramago is a major Portuguese literary prize that has been awarded every two years since 1999 . It is endowed with 25,000 euros. The name refers to the Nobel Prize winner José Saramago (1922-2010).
The award was set up by the foundation of the Portuguese book club " Círculo de Leitores ". With the support of the Portuguese Ministry of Culture, the prize is awarded every two years to a young author (up to 35 years of age).
