Pręt (unit)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Pręt was a Polish measure of length and the name for the rod . It was considered the Cracow measure in this form since the edict of December 7, 1836 and was still allowed to be used despite the introduction of the metric system. The measure was used as a field measure.

  • 1 Pręt = 7.5 Łokieć = 10 Pręcik / Rutchen = 100 Ławka = 180 Cal = 2.160 lines / lines = 4320 millimeters
  • 1 pręt = 15 stopy / foot = 2.5 sążnia = 4.32 meters

The smaller form was the Rutchen or Pręcik , the 10th part of the Pręt.

  • 1 Pręcik = 10 Ławka = 18 Cal = 216 lines = 191 ½ Parisian lines = 432 millimeters
