The Pra Premier is a 2,279 m high peak in the Queyras mountain range of the Cottian Alps . It belongs to the municipality of Arvieux in the Hautes-Alpes department and lies west of the Col d'Izoard pass road . The summit can also be reached via a via ferrata .
Via ferrata
One of two via ferratas in Arvieux is located at Pra Premier. It is insured with wire ropes and artificial steps and has two options at the entrance and exit. The easier entry-level variant leads over a 10 m long iron ladder. The level of difficulty ranges from medium (K2-3) to difficult (K4) on the Hüsler scale .
