Prashchine

The prashchine , also known as predjine , was an old measure of length in Wallachia and Moldavia and corresponded to the rod . The measure was 3 fathoms . In the regions, the terms Stingene / Stündjen / Stängene were also used for fathoms .

  • 1 praschtschine = 3 fathoms or stings = 6.668 meters (1.981 meters / fathom times 3 = 5.943 meters)
  • 1 square praschtschine = 20.98613 square meters
  • 1 Falcea / Faltsch / Faltosch = 2880 square stings = 320 square praschtschine = 14,219.378 square meters (Moldavian dimensions)
  • 1 praschtschine = 18.6 feet = 4.68106-5 meters (8 feet = 1 stingene in Wallachia)
