The Prebble Icefalls are a glacier break in East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Darwin Mountains they fall from the southwest side of the Midnight Plateau over a 900 m high step from two mountain basins southwest of Mount Ellis .
Participants in a 1962-1963 campaign as part of New Zealand's Victoria University's Antarctic Expeditions discovered them and named them after Warwick Maynard Prebble, a geologist on this expedition.
