Predrag Šuput (born June 1, 1977 in Gospić , Yugoslavia ) is a Serbian basketball player who last played for KK Cedevita in Croatia.

Life

Šuput was born on June 1, 1977 in Gospic, but came to basketball relatively late (1996). At the club KK Apatin he started in the fourth Serbian league, but at that time he was already 2.00 meters tall. After he went to KK Vrbas in 1999, he moved to Spartak Subotica in 2000, with whom he was promoted to the first division. In his first year he was able to achieve 16.5 points and 7.0 rebounds for Subotica, which paved the way for the Serbian top teams. In 2003, Šuput moved to KK Vojvodina Novi Sad and a year later to KK Partizan Belgrade . A broken foot forced him to take a six-month break in mid-October 2004. This injury is now seen as one of the reasons why Suput never played for the national team. After the championship title in 2005, he finally moved to KK Hemofarm , where he was able to convince with 13.4 points and 4.4 rebounds on average. Against the Brose Baskets Bamberg he put on 22 points and 8 rebounds with a 71:64 success in the ULEB Cup. On July 19, 2007, Šuput signed a one-year contract with the then reigning German champion Brose Baskets Bamberg. Under coach Dirk Bauermann , he put on 9.8 points and 4.1 rebounds for the Franks. He also hit 55.9% of his field throws and 42.4% of his three-point attempts. On December 28, 2007, he extended his contract early until the end of the 2009/2010 season. In the past season, Šuput was able to increase his values ​​again, in addition to 14.9 points in the main round, the Power Forward scored 15.5 points in the quarter-finals against MEG Göttingen and even 19.0 points on average in the semi-finals against Oldenburg. After winning the championship in 2012, Brose Baskets rebuilt their team and made no further offer to Suput. He then moved to Croatia to KK Cedevita . After the 2012/13 season he was no longer active for Cedevita.
