Prematory is a Belgian thrash metal band from Leuven that was formed in 2007.
history
The band was founded in 2007 and consisted of the bassist Joeri Trescinski, the guitarist Joeri van de Schoot and the drummer Thomas Minnen. After the singer Simon Duson joined the band at the end of 2008, the first appearances followed. In the following two years the band worked on new material. After guitarist Jonas van de Sande joined the band, the first rehearsals began in the studio. At the end of 2010, the debut album Suiciety was released . The publication was followed by appearances along with Warbringer , FKÜ. and Dr. Living Dead! on. In addition, the band held their first appearances outside of Belgium, in Germany and the Netherlands . Shortly afterwards, work on the second album began. Meanwhile, drummer Thomas Minnen left the band and was replaced by Thomas Wuyts. After the work on the album was finished, in late 2012 they contacted Sven Janssens (ex- Aborted ) from Red Left Hand Studio , who produced and mixed the album. After the album was recorded in February 2013, the recordings were sent to Chris "Zeuss" Harris of Planet Z Studio , who mastered the album. In February 2014, the album Corrupting Influence was released by Punishment 18 Records .
style
According to Tony "Demolition Man" Dolan from metal-temple.com, the band plays classic Thrash Metal on Corrupting Influence . On the album, as on the predecessor, influences from Metallica are clearly audible. In the song Insignificance the bass sounds a lot like Dan Lilker , while the following song could also be from Nuclear Assault , minus John Connelly's vocals. In other songs, influences from groups such as Exodus , Testament and Destruction can also be heard.
