Bratislava bucket

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Bratislava bucket , also known as the Hungarian bucket , was a Hungarian liquid measure.

The measure fluctuated and should be the same as the Pressburger Metzen . One Pressburger bucket corresponded to 0.93836 Viennese bucket . He was often compared to this. The measure was valid in Pest and Timisoara . In other regions, for example, the Ödenburger bucket was used , which was about 1 liter smaller.

In the case of wine , the number changes to 60 halves if it was without yeast. The barrels common in the regions were also littered after the Pressburger bucket and the halves.

The Tokaya wine barrel had 2 ¾ Pressburger buckets or 176 halves, the Erlauer barrel 1 ½ buckets and the Gönczer barrel had 2 ½ buckets.
