The Presto Type F was brought onto the market in 1927 by the Chemnitz-based automobile manufacturer Presto as the successor to the Type E.
It had a 6-cylinder OHV in-line engine with a displacement of 2.6 liters, which developed 50 hp at 2500 rpm and transmitted its power to the rear wheels via a 3-speed gearbox with a gearshift lever in the middle of the car. The engine was equipped with magneto ignition . The car had a U-profile pressed steel frame and two rigid axles that were suspended from semi-elliptical leaf springs (on the rear axle in Underslung version). The mechanical foot and hand brakes worked on all 4 wheels. The vehicle was available as a 4-seat touring car or a 4-seat sedan.
At the same time, the Presto Type G came out with a 300 mm longer chassis. It was available as a 6-seat touring car or a 6-seat sedan. Its engine had a displacement of 3.1 liters and developed 55 hp at 3000 rpm.
Both cars were optionally available with the engine of the other type. However, the vehicles were very immature and caused considerable costs due to complaints. They also ruined the reputation of their manufacturer. After the Presto works were taken over by NAG , the vehicles continued to be built as NAG-Presto Type F and NAG-Presto Type G for another year .
When production ended in 1928, a total of approx. 1000 copies of the F and G types had been built.
