Prince Randian
Prince Randian (* 1871 in Demerara , British Guiana ; † December 19, 1934 in New York , NY , USA ) was an actor and a fairground sensation. It was referred to as a "living torso ", "human worm" and the like. Ä. marketed.
Life
Born without a limb, it was brought to the United States by PT Barnum in 1889 , where it was presented as a sensation for 45 years. Randian starred in the classic film Freaks . One scene shows how he lights a cigarette only with the help of his mouth, another shows how he creeps on the floor. Randian spoke four languages, in addition to his mother tongue Hindi, English, German and French, was married and had five children. At the age of 63 he suddenly collapsed after an appearance and died.
