The Prince Sedan ( Japanese プ リ ン ス セ ダ ン , Purinsu Sedan ) was a compact class passenger car and the first model to be driven by an internal combustion engine from the Japanese automobile manufacturer Prince Jidōsha Kōgyō , who had previously only produced electric cars under the name Tama .

The four-door, pontoon-shaped sedan with six seats was designed in March 1952 in honor of the inauguration of the then Japanese Crown Prince and now Emperor Akihito as Prince AISH . The model went into series production as the Prince Sedan AISH-2 .

The vehicle was powered by an in- line four-cylinder engine with a capacity of 1484 cm³, which initially produced 45 bhp (33 kW) at 4000 min −1 . The maximum torque of 98 Nm was measured at 2000 min -1 achieved. The rear wheels were driven via a manual four-speed gearbox. The top speed was 110 km / h. In 1953, the vehicles grew by 59 mm in width and 43 mm in height. In 1955 the compression of the engine was increased from 6.5 to 6.8. Thereby, the output rose to 52 hp (38 kW) at 4200 min -1 , the torque to 102 Nm at 2400 min -1 and the maximum speed to 115 km / h.

In 1956 the Prince Sedan AMSH was added, which could be recognized by a chrome-plated crossbar in the radiator grille that was lowered in a V-shape and was delivered in two-tone paint (roof, trunk lid and upper halves of the doors and rear fenders in a second color).

In 1957 the Skyline replaced the Sedan.
