Protonuraghe S'Ulivera

The Protonuraghe S'Ulivera (also called Sulivera ) is located northeast of Dualchi in the province of Nuoro in Sardinia . Protonuraghen (also corridor or pseudonuraghen, Italian Nuraghe a corridoio ) are the pre- or early form of the classical tower structures or Tholosnuraghen ( Italian Nuraghe a tholos ) of the Bronze Age nuragic cultures of Sardinia.

The multi-phase nuraghe experienced two construction phases. During the Copper Age , a proto , pseudo or corridor uraghe was built. During the nuraghe culture (around 1500 BC) this was converted into a tholosnuraghe. The Su Mulinu Nuraghe was also supplemented by an attached tholos . The walls are preserved on the west side up to a height of 6.5 m. The entrance has a 2.05 m long architrave and leads into a corridor with three side niches that are typical of protonuraghi. On the first floor there is a chamber with two niches.

Time position

The approximately 300 Protonuraghi on Sardinia were formed during phase B of the two-phase Bonnanaro culture , which was the successor to the both megalithic and Copper Age Monte Claro culture between 1800 and 1500 BC. Ruled.
