Protz and Ehret
Protz und Ehret was a glass painting workshop in Freiburg im Breisgau .
Alfred Protz was an employee of Fritz Geiges , who started his own business in 1901 and initially manufactured glazing for secular buildings. In 1911 he teamed up with Armand Ehret, who had worked at Helmle & Merzweiler since 1882 , as the Protz und Ehret company. Workshops for stained glass and lead glazing on Rotlaubstrasse. 13 together. The company soon replaced Helmle & Merzweiler as the leading workshop in Freiburg and produced glass paintings for more than 130 churches, mainly in southern Baden . It worked primarily on designs from outside artists and existed until the 1930s.
