Yunnan Provincial Museum

The Yunnan Provincial Museum ( Chinese  云南省博物馆 , Pinyin Yunnan Bówùguǎn , English Yunnan Provincial Museum ) is a museum and a Chinese research institution. Founded in August 1951, the museum is located in Kunming at 118 Wuyi Street (Wuyi Lu 五一 路). It houses an extensive collection on the various cultures of the Yunnan minorities as well as a large number of bronzes , including the famous finds from Shizhaishan ( Jinning County ) and Lijiashan ( Jiangchuan County ). The finds from the Batatai graves ( Qujing ) and the Wanjiaba graves ( Chuxiong ) are also kept here.
