Sometimes referred to as genus Pseudolysimachion of Veronica separated section (after WDJ Koch ) or subgenus (subgen. Pseudolysimachium (WDJ Koch) MMMart.Ort., Albach & mafic. ) Of the blue pasture Riche ( Pseudolysimachium ) is within the genus Veronica well-circumscribed group. Since only the strongly derived species of the originally East Asian group are found in Central Europe, the group is often separated as a separate genus. East Asian species (e.g. Veronica schmidtiana ) are less easy to separate. The same applies to the New Zealand species, which were separated as the Hebe genus , and the North American species of the former Synthyris genus . Veronica gains a greater uniformity through the separation of Pseudolysimachion , Hebe and Synthyris , but one misunderstands the evolutionary tendencies.
The subgenus Pseudolysimachium ( Pseudolysimachion ) differs from other subgenus of Veronica by the dense spike-like inflorescence , the longer corolla tube of the flowers, and a slightly flattened fruit capsule. The pollen is also different from that of Veronica and belongs to the Paederota type . Chemotaxonomic differences, such as a different pattern of iridoid glycosides and flavonoids, also separate the subgenus from other subgenus. The set of chromosomes corresponds to the double set of chromosomes of related Veronica species with the following loss of one chromosome.
species
In Central Europe the following species can be assigned to the genus Pseudolysimachion or the subgenus Pseudolysimachium:
- Long-leaved blue loosestrife : Pseudolysimachion longifolium (L.) Opiz = Veronica longifolia L.
- Rispiger blue loosestrife : Pseudolysimachion spurium (L.) Opiz = Veronica spuria L. = Veronica paniculata L. (in Germany: †)
- Spotted blue loosestrife : Pseudolysimachion spicatum (L.) Opiz = Veronica spicata L.
