Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy is an American video game released in 2004.

action

Trained by the Mindgate Department of the government, the player has the task of infiltrating a terrorist organization called The Movement. It uses brainwashing to turn people into mindless killing machines. So the player is kidnapped and brainwashed as well. With the help of another agent, however, one is "restored" again and now begins to smash the organization from the inside.

Gameplay

In terms of gameplay, Psi-Ops is very similar to Second Sight , which was released in the same year , with the difference that Psi-Ops is aimed at a more adult audience due to the stronger depiction of violence and contains ragdolls . In addition to handguns, the player can also use psi powers here, which allow him, for example, to lift opponents or objects into the air by telekinesis and to throw them around, to control enemy units by mind control and make them commit suicide or with pyrokinesis to set on fire. Here, too, some of these powers have to be used for smaller puzzles by building a staircase out of boxes with the help of telekinesis to overcome a wall or something similar.
