Publius Sulpicius Galba Maximus

Publius Sulpicius Galba Maximus was 211 BC. BC Roman consul when he defended the city of Rome against Hannibal's surprise attack .

He was proconsul in Greece from 210 to 206 BC. And commander in the First Macedonian War against Philip V. Galba led the Roman fleet for the first time in the Aegean ; he conquered Aegina in 210 BC. BC, but otherwise achieved little, especially since the Greek allies had the largest share in the fighting.

He was dictator in 203, and 200 BC. BC, in the Second Macedonian War , he was again consul.
