The Puente Internacional Barón de Mauá (also: Ponte Barão de Mauá or in German Baron von Maua Bridge ) is an international road and rail bridge in South America .
The 340 m long arched bridge spans the Río Yaguarón and connects the Brazilian city of Jaguarão in the state of Rio Grande do Sul with the Uruguayan city of Río Branco in the Cerro Largo department .
It was built between 1927 and 1930. From the Uruguayan side, Ruta 18 leads to the bridge, on the Brazilian side, the BR-116 road , coming from Fortaleza .
