The group Puerto Rico All Stars , abbreviated to PRAS, is a salsa and Latin jazz group from Puerto Rico .

Career

The band was formed in 1977 by Franklin Gregory in Puerto Rico. In 1963 a band with a similar name Puerto Rican All-Stars was formed, accompanied by a percussionist named Kako. It consisted of a large number of well-known artists such as Andy Montañez , Paquito Guzmán , Lalo Rodríguez and Gilberto Santa Rosa , who later began a solo career as. PRAS was an alternative and competed with the New York City- based band Fania All-Stars under Johnny Pacheco . PRAS produced three albums, which were released from 1977 to 1979. In 1996 her last album De Regreso was released.
