Puerto Santa Cruz is the capital of the Corpen Aike department in the Santa Cruz Province in southern Argentina .
It is located on the southern edge of the delta of the Río Santa Cruz , 40 kilometers from Comandante Luis Piedra Buena . 16 kilometers away is Punta Quilla , a deep water port at the mouth of the river in the Atlantic Ocean .
