Pulford Castle is an Outbound castle in the village of Pulford in the English county of Cheshire . The area immediately south of St Mary's Church is a Scheduled Monument .

history

The castle was a small moth that protected the crossing over Pulford Brook . The stream forms the border between England and Wales near the road from Wrexham to Chester . Robert de Pulford had the castle built in the 12th century . Records show that it was garrisoned in 1403 fighting the forces of Owain Glyndŵr . Today only earthworks remain.
