The Pulower See is a lake in the Lassaner Winkel in the Vorpommern-Greifswald district . The lake is located near the village of Pulow and is 3.6 kilometers from the Peenestadt Lassan and the Peenestrom . At its northern tip the district road 31 leads from Pulow to Lassan. The lake has a north-south extension of about 830 meters and a west-east extension of about 150 meters. The lake is a channel lake shaped by the Ice Age .
The former clear water lake is currently in an eutrophic state. The reason for the over-fertilization of the lake, which leads to excessive algae growth and clouding of the water in the summer months , are manure tanks near the lake, which belong to a disused pig fattening facility. In the spring of 2018, the municipal representatives of the responsible municipality of Lassan gave their approval for the funding project "Restoration of Pulower See" with total costs of 830,000 euros.
Others
On its bank there is a historic tombstone of Baron Körting, a former landowner of Pulow.
