Puls 4 News ( original spelling : PULS 4 News ), formerly AustriaNews , refers to a program column of the Austrian branch of ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE . It includes the news format of the same name, the discussion program Pro and Contra and the breakfast television Café Puls . The focus is on politics, world events, chronicles, life and society. The program reaches up to 1.71 million Austrians per week in the broadest circle of viewers. The Puls 4 News Network is Austria's largest private news network and brings 12 news programs daily on Puls 4 , on Sat.1 Austria , on ProSieben Austria and in the cross-channel infotainment magazine Café Puls . A new design has been introduced since the end of 2017. WELT is the news supplier for world events.

The first Austrian news program of ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG went on air in January 2004 with the title ProSieben Austria TopNews on ProSieben Austria . In April 2006 the program was subjected to the first relaunch and renamed ProSieben AustriaNews . A second relaunch took place in the spring of 2008. The broadcasting slot was shifted from 8 p.m. to 6 p.m. This became necessary after ProSieben Germany changed its news programming. With the start of Puls 4 in January 2008, Puls 4 AustriaNews was added. Since March 17, 2008, the format has also been broadcast on Sat.1 Austria . As of March 30, 2009, all AustriaNews broadcasts have a new, uniform design for the studio, opener, graphics and logos; a new newsroom was also created. Since 2013, the program has been renamed again to its current name. The pulse 4 News are part of the morning show Café Puls are 5:30 to 10:00 every 30 minutes on all three channels aired on breakfast television, which are daily Puls 4 news program at 18:00 on ProSieben Austria to 6:45 p.m. on Puls 4 and at 8:00 p.m. on Sat.1 Austria and on Puls 4 in parallel . Good evening Austria
The news program Guten Abend Österreich was the successor to Puls 4 AustriaNews on Puls 4 and was broadcast live for the first time on January 21, 2013. In contrast to its predecessor, the format presents itself with studio guests and an expanded subject area. At the beginning the most important topics were brought up in the form of short reports, in the following sections studio guests were interviewed and sports news were shown. A star magazine, lifestyle and the weather report were also integrated into the program.
Since the ratings for the second half of the broadcast fell short of expectations, the Puls 4 News Quiz ran from September 2014 at 7:20 p.m. as part of the format. Multiple unauthorized commercial breaks and misleading viewers of a program in July 2014 resulted in legal consequences. On April 24, 2015, the technically moderate show ran for the last time.

Pros and Cons - The Puls 4 News Talk is a live talk show produced by the Austrian private broadcaster Puls 4 and broadcast weekly on Mondays. It is the successor to the discussion program Talk of Town , which was discontinued in April 2011, and has been broadcast since April 11, 2011. The talk show is mainly moderated by Corinna Milborn or Thomas Mohr. The topics of conversation change weekly, mostly depending on the current events nationally and internationally.
The first edition of the relaunched format was broadcast live for the first time on April 11th. The broadcaster structured the 60-minute format into three parts. The moderator makes the opening with an expert or a person concerned. Important content-related key points are presented, and personal experiences of the guests should also create an emotional access to the respective topics. This is followed by the discussion with a wider group of participants. In the last third, the audience and spectators are included in the discussion. The audience, consisting of those affected, involved and interested, is actively involved and has the opportunity to bring opinions, questions and criticism into the program or address them directly to the podium guests.
