The breakfast television Café Puls is produced by the Austrian private broadcaster Puls 4, and since autumn 2005 the program has also been shown by ProSieben Austria and Sat.1 Austria . Until October 2007, Cafe Puls was also shown on kabel eins austria . The show has a market share of 15 percent.

General

In addition to politics and chronicle, the range of programs primarily includes lifestyle, wellness, health, sport, motor sports and culture. Traffic news, horoscopes, cooking and event tips complete the concept. The broadcast contains half-hourly news under the name Café Puls AustriaNews - since 2014 also "Puls 4 News" as well as weather forecasts.

With the 4-year existence of PULS4, Café Puls also got a new on-air design and a design refresh for the studio. Above all, the new elements should appear more modern. In addition, there was a new 2-4 minute "weather show" which, after the half-hourly and hourly news, is moderated alternately by Verena Schneider and Ursula Wares.

When the station moved from the Vienna Museum Quarter to St. Marx in 2012/13, a similar modern, somewhat rounder Café-Puls-Studio was used.

Already in the summer of 2014 a new Café-Puls-Studio was announced and in the transition months it was broadcast from a "construction site studio", which was a bit yellower and smaller.

In September 2014, the show got a new design, this time the studio gave all elements a new look. Also replace the signature. For the first time, the news and the breakfast program itself will be broadcast from one and the same studio, which has an area of 200 square meters and a screen in the middle of 5.40 meters wide and 1.60 meters high, and at the same time for various other in-house productions by Puls 4 such as "Guten Abend Österreich" or the new format "Puls 4 News Quiz".

The moderator teams have also been changed. Bianca Schwarzjirg and Florian Danner form the main moderator couple for three weeks a month, the team Johanna Setzer and Andreas Seidl moderates one week a month. The news team also consists of newcomers Werner Sejka and Thomas Mohr.

Café Puls - the magazine

Since March 5, 2018, the show Café Puls - Das Magazin has been broadcast on PULS 4 from Monday to Friday from 5:45 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. This is moderated three weeks per month by Barbara Fleißner and Max Mayerhofer and one week per month by Dori Bauer and Manolito Licha.

criticism

Due to the fading of three channels (ProSieben, Sat.1 and kabel eins), the original German program of these TV stations can no longer be received via cable during the show Café Puls in Austria. This has led to complaints from cable customers in Austria.

Café pulse hits

Some compilations have been published that contain songs that were presented by Armin Doppelbauer during the course of the broadcast.
