Barbara Fleißner (born September 10, 1983 in Klagenfurt , Carinthia ) is an Austrian television presenter and podcaster .

Life and career

Barbara Fleißner grew up in Klagenfurt. After leaving school at the Ingeborg Bachmann high school she moved to Vienna to there acting to study.

During her studies, she started working at Radio 88.6 in 2004 , first as a newscaster / news editor, then as a presenter , before she got her own radio show in 2006 (Monday - Friday 10am - 3pm). In 2011 she moved to Radio Energy and six months later to Radio Arabella .

At the same time, Fleißner played on various stages in Austria ( Tiroler Landestheater , Wald4tler Hoftheater, Ateliertheater , Freie Bühne Wieden ). She also studied acting at the Lee Strasberg Institute in New York .

Barbara Fleissner's television career began in 2011. She started as a weather presenter at Café Puls on Puls 4 . In 2013 she switched to Servus TV . In addition to the early morning show Servus am Morgen , the evening magazine Servus am Abend , she also hosted main evening shows such as the “YPD Challenge” or a five-hour live broadcast of the Salzburg Festival .

Barbara Fleißner has been back at Puls4 since 2018 and hosts the Café Puls breakfast format together with Andreas Schmid , alternating with the moderators Bianca Schwarzjirg , Johanna Setzer and Florian Danner . She can also be seen with Max Mayerhofer in Café Puls Magazin , alternating with the team around Dori Bauer and Manolito Licha.

Barbara Fleißner has been running the podcast Changing Perspectives since November 2019 .

Private life

Barbara Fleißner has been the mother of a daughter since 2014.
