Punta Jaraquemada ( Cabo María Josefa in Argentina ) is a headland on the Fallières coast of Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . It lies between Mount Guernsey and Cape Jeremy on the shores of West Bay .
Chilean scientists named it after Juan de la Jaraquemada (≈1560 – ≈1612), one of the Spanish governors of Chile . The background of the Argentine naming is not known.
