Punta López is a headland in the north of Clarence Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It forms the northeastern branch of Cape Lloyd .
Chilean scientists named them after Raúl López Silva (1924–2002), Admiral of the Armada de Chile , who was in command of the 30th Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1975–1976).
