Punta Maruja is a headland on the Danco coast of Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . On the east bank of the Aguirre Passage , it is located on the southern branch of Waterboat Point .
Scientists of the 5th Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1950–1951) named it after the nickname of the wife of the hydrographist Fernando Ferrer Fougá who participated in the research trip.
