Punta Pallero ( Spanish ; in Argentina Punta López ) is a headland of Half Moon Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It forms the southeast end of the island in Moon Bay .

Chilean scientists named it after Neftalí Pallero Rojo, a meteorologist on the 10th Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1955-1956). The namesake of the Argentine name has not been passed down.
