Benno Imendörffer

Benno Imendörffer (born June 25, 1867 in Pest , † April 29, 1945 in Steinbach am Attersee ) was an Austrian writer and teacher .

Life

Born as the son of August Imendörffer, Benno Imendörffer studied Hungarian law in Budapest after attending Hungarian schools and the Oberrealgymnasium in Stuttgart , then studied philosophy at the University of Vienna . During his studies in 1889 he became a member of the Markomannia Vienna fraternity . In 1894 he was promoted to Dr. phil. received his doctorate and passed his teaching examination for history and geography in 1896 . He worked with the title of Professor as a secondary school teacher in Troppau , Brno and from 1903 in Vienna. He was involved in fraternity associations and was editor and director of the Wartburg magazine . Journal for the East Mark fraternity . He was a co-founder of the German Club and worked for many years in the management of the German School Association. In 1925 he became the first active middle school teacher to become a member of the Austrian government .
