Punta Riquelme is a headland of Greenwich Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It lies between the headlands of Punta Ortiz and Labbé Point at the northwest end of Discovery Bay .
Scientists of the 1st Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1946–1947) named the headland after Riquelme , the signal guest who participated in the research trip .
