Punta Guido (in Argentina Punta Saavedra ) is a headland on the Davis Coast of Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located 5 km east-northeast of Cape Sterneck at the northern end of the Chawdar Peninsula .
Chilean scientists named it after the taxidermist Guido Sanhuezo Briccio, participants in the 25th Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1970-1971). The namesake of the Argentine name is the Argentine Nobel Peace Prize laureate Carlos Saavedra Lamas (1878-1959).
