Punta Varas is a cliff on the southeast coast of Greenwich Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It rises 720 m southeast of Spit Point at the end of Oborishte Ridge at the base of Provadiya Hook .
Scientists of the 6th Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1951–1952) named it after the physician Armando Varas Espejo (* 1925), surgeon on board the Angamos on this research trip .
