Puntas del Parao is a town in Uruguay .
geography
It is located in the northern part of the department of Treinta y Tres in the sector 4 in the Cuchilla Guazunambí on the border Nachbardepartamento Cerro Largo . Puntas del Parao is located on the banks of the Arroyo del Parao , which rises a few kilometers south of the village. The closest larger settlements to the south are Vergara and Mendizábal in the southeast , Isla Patrulla to the southwest and Cerro de las Cuentas in the northwest . A few kilometers northeast and northwest are Arbolito and Cerro de las Cuentas. The Río Tacuarí rises not far to the west of the village, already in the area of Cerro Largos .
Infrastructure
The Camino Cuchilla Grande passes near the village .
