The Arroyo del Parao is a river in eastern Uruguay .

The river, which belongs to the catchment area of the Laguna Merín, has its source in the Cuchilla Guazunambí a few kilometers south of Puntas del Parao and southwest of the Cerro de la Azotea . It runs in the area of ​​the Treinta y Tres department and partially forms the border to the neighboring Cerro Largo department on the upper reaches . From its source it first flows north to Puntas del Parao and then changes the direction of flow to the east in order to move it further to the south-east and finally south. On its way to the mouth it touches Vergara . It finally flows as a left-hand tributary east of General Enrique Martínez into the Río Cebollatí .
