Jürgen Ludwig

Jürgen Ludwig (born May 15, 1970 in Dinkelsbühl ) is a German local politician ( CSU ). He's district administrator of the district of Ansbach .

Career

Ludwig studied economic geography, economics and planning law at the Universities of Würzburg and Bayreuth and the Strathclyde Business School in Glasgow and received his doctorate in 2004 from the University of Bayreuth.

He joined the CSU in 1993, was elected to the board of the CSU local association Dinkelsbühl in 1997 and later became its chairman. From 1997 to 2003 he was a member of the environmental protection and regional planning working group on the CSU regional board.

In spring 2012 he ran for the office of district administrator in the district of Ansbach and prevailed in the runoff election on March 25, 2012 with 60.3% of the votes against the competitor of the SPD Kurt Unger. He took office on May 1, 2012. The mid-term election extends the term of office until April 30, 2020 after the regular local elections on March 15, 2020.

In the local elections in Bavaria in 2020 , Ludwig won the runoff against Jürgen Seifert ( FW ) with almost 59% of the vote.
