The Sankt Thomas am Blasenstein dollhouse museum is located in the market town of St. Thomas am Blasenstein in the Perg district in Upper Austria . The museum was closed in 2018 and the dolls are to be moved to Kranichberg Castle .

history

The museum belongs to the entrepreneurial couple Julia and Gerhard Lehner and is located in a former school building on the village square of St. Thomas. It opened on April 11, 2010 and has more than 2000 exhibits on display over 450 square meters. It is considered the largest dollhouse museum in Austria.

Exhibits

The collection includes dolls , teddy bears , dollhouses , shops and other miniatures mostly from the 19th century. In the future, other collections of the couple, such as the largest collection of Easter eggs in Austria and the most extensive collection of hair pictures in Europe, are to be made accessible to the public in special exhibitions .
