Lucius Furius Purpureo was a Roman politician and general, consul in 196 BC. Chr.

Furius Purpureo came from the patrician gens Furia . His Cognomen Purpureo , which occurs rarely among the Furians , is illustrated in coin depictions by a purple snail , with the two mint masters of the same name, Lucius (Mm. 150-139) and Lucius Furius Purpureo, (Mm. 137-134). 210 BC L.
