Pyrazolam is a chemical compound belonging to the benzodiazepine group .

Pyrazolam has structural similarities to alprazolam and bromazepam . It is very selective for the α2 and α3 receptor subtypes, which means that it has a strong anti- anxiety effect . It is excreted unchanged in the urine.

Pyrazolam was first synthesized in 1970 by Leo Sternbach's group at Hoffmann-La Roche . Pyrazolam has been used as a research chemical and designer drug since 2012 .
