Höllenhof in Quedlinburg (office location)

The company is based in the Höllenhof in the old town of Quedlinburg. The Höllenhof was built between 1215 and 1301 and is one of the oldest secular buildings in the World Heritage Quedlinburg. qbatur renovated the courtyard from 2003 to 2007. In 2008, the work was awarded the Federal Prize for Crafts in Monument Preservation (2nd prize).

In 2015 qbatur was converted into a cooperative .

activities

The office acquired individual monuments threatened by decay and real dry rot, such as Pölle 56 , Breite Strasse 12 and 13 , and Klink 9 in Quedlinburg, and carried out the first emergency backups. For the individual monument over the water 14 in Aschersleben, the building regulations office had issued a demolition order before it was renovated by qbatur. The rescue attempt for Wassertorstrasse 15/16 Quedlinburg, however, was unsuccessful.

In the discussion on the controversial reconstruction of the half-timbered house at Andreasplatz 29 in Hildesheim (" Upside Down Sugar Loaf "), qbatur presented an alternative competition entry (3rd prize) in 2007, which also included the listed pillar house and the jewelry pavilion in the overall design with a more sculptural replica .
