Architecture and history

The two-storey half - timbered house was built around 1525. The half-timbered facade is designed in the late Gothic style. The design elements include ship throats , profiled lugs , pear beam heads , parapet struts and overlapping . The ground floor was renewed in its present form in the 19th century, including the gate passage. A wing on the courtyard side was changed in the 18th century. The western side wing facing the courtyard was built around 1700 based on the stylistic findings (diamond beam heads). A careful but comprehensive renovation of the main building and the western side wing was carried out in the years 2011 to 2014 on behalf of the art historian Thomas Labusiak and his wife by the architecture office qbatur .

The renovation was awarded the Federal Prize for Crafts in Monument Preservation (1st prize) in 2015.
