The house Pölle 57 is a listed building in the city of Quedlinburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

location

It is located in the historic Quedlinburg old town south of the market square and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site . The building is located in a striking corner at the intersection of the streets Pölle, Steinbrücke and Word. It is registered as a residential building in the Quedlinburg monument register. Pölle 56 , which is also a listed building, is adjacent to the west . Immediately south of the house runs the Mühlgraben , which is spanned here by the stone bridge.

Architecture and history

The half-timbered house was built at the end of the 18th century, but goes back to much older predecessor buildings. On the south side of the ground floor, massive ashlar masonry from the Middle Ages is incorporated into the building. The facade of the house is plastered and designed in the style of classicism . The corner of the building, which is sloping towards the intersection, is striking and emphasizes the corner situation.
