The Qingdao Jonoon is a soccer club from Qingdao , China . The club plays in the China League One , the second highest division in the country. The club plays its home games at the Qingdao Tiantai Stadium.
Club history
In 1990 the Shandong Economic and Trade Commission FC was founded. In 1993 the name was changed to Qingdao Hainiu, and the association became professional. Since 2008 the association has been called Qingdao Jonoon. It has been owned by cable manufacturer Qingdao Jonoon since 2004 . The first promotion to the highest league took place in 1994. In 1995, the club rose as the penultimate, after only one year in the first division, back from the second division. In 2002 the second ascent in the club's history was achieved. Winning the Chinese Association Cup in 2002 was the greatest success in the club's history.
The 2009 season ended the club in 13th place. In the following season, the club reached 14th place also only a bad result, but was able to secure relegation.
