Igor Budiša (born September 23, 1977 in Osijek , SR Croatia ) is a Croatian football player . He plays the position of central defender .

Career

In his youth he played for NK Osijek , where he also completed his first year as a professional. He then played at two other Croatian clubs Dinamo Zagreb and Marsonia Slavonski Brod . From 2000 he played in Germany. First in Germany in the Regionalliga Süd at Eintracht Trier . A year later Budiša went to 1. FC Saarbrücken in the 2nd Bundesliga . In winter he then moved to league competitor Schweinfurt for € 150,000 . From 2002 to 2003 he played in Greece first with Panachaiki and then with Skoda Xanthi . For the 2004/05 season he moved back to Eintracht Trier, which had meanwhile been promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga. In the DFB Cup , he played three games for Trier. After two years he moved to the Premjer League to Schinnik Yaroslavl . With the club he rose to the 1st division and rose again the following year. In China he played for a year with the Chinese first division club Qingdao Jonoon and then for 18 months with Jiangsu Sainty . Then he played again in Croatia for the first division club HNK Šibenik . After just one year, he moved to newly promoted RNK Split on a free transfer . Since 2012 he has been active for various lower-class Croatian clubs.
